5Rhythms® with Lucine
"If you want to give birth to your true self, you are going to have to dig deep down into that body of yours and let your soul howl
Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and trust that if you turn off your head, your feet will take you where you need to go"
-Gabrielle Roth, Founder of the 5 Rhythms ®
Lucine was born & raised in Detroit and spent a decade living in South America before landing in Oz. She has taught movement around the world within the broadest spectrum of human experience, for example with ex-combatants and internally displaced people, survivors of sexual abuse & people in a situation of homelessness in Australia, and in many places in between.
In 5Rhythms sessions she uses carefully curated music and trauma informed movement resources to invite people into a safe space that welcomes all parts of our selves into full expression.
She fell in love with the practice of 5Rhythms® in 2006 and has been a dedicated student since, finally becoming a teacher in 2016, bringing her two young children with her on the journey.
In her 1:1 embodiment sessions she resources from a decade of study of shamanic traditions and traditional medicines of indigenous Amazon cultures, 18 years of embodiment training (trauma informed yoga, dance and massage), and an IFS informed approach (Level 1 Training).
Lucine sees every dance as an opportunity for self-transformation. Her intention is also to offer this work in places where it is not easily accessible- detention centres, prisons, recovery centres, etc.
